Very deceptive practices! Rep knocked on door even though "No Solicitors Invited" sticker is clearly displayed on sidelight panel of front door. Stated he was there because I hadn't responded to several notices sent by the state of ******** and, as a result, there were excess charges on my ComEd bill which he could help me get rid of. (Turns out none of this was true. I had not received any notices and the state of ******** did NOT send him to "help" me.) Promised me 6 cents/kw hour for the length of the contract. When I read the contract, it clearly stated this rate was for one month only and subject to change thereafter. Questioned him about this. He assured me (lied to me) that rate would continue. I said, and when it doesn't and I call to complain they will tell me it's my word against yours and you didn't have the authority to promise the rate would continue beyond one month. He assured me that he had such authority and my rate would be 6 cents going forward. Was late for a Zoom meeting and stupidly signed the contract. Called two different numbers listed on the paperwork on three separate occasions over the next two days to cancel contract; never got an answer on the primary number listed on the contract and on the other number obtained from website was put on hold for ************************************************************ line - finally hung up. In other words, they make it nearly impossible to contact them to cancel contract. Finally faxed cancellation and sent copies via certified mail (which cost me $$$) to both Nordic Energy and two separate ComEd addresses. What a nightmare. These people are shady beyond belief. Reported violation of "No Solicitors Invited" to village police department.
